It has been decided to open the office.
Dr. SP Singh Oberoi, who arrived in India after visiting Greece with his religious wife Mrs. Maninder Kaur, shared information and said that during this time, he met the management committees of about a dozen Gurdwaras in Greece.
After holding various meetings and discussions with industrialists and other dignitaries there, it has been decided to form a 21-member committee of Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust in Greece.
He said that with the opening of the Trust's office, all possible efforts will be made with the support of the Indian Embassy there to solve the problems faced by Indians working in Greece. He also said that Sarbat Da Bhala Trust, in the same way as supporting the sending of dead bodies of Indian people who lost their lives in the Gulf countries to their heirs in India, apart from giving pension to the needy families of the victims, if the deceased person If there is a daughter behind, then the trust will give the name of the girl and her age, i.e. if the age is 3-4 years then 1 lakh rupees, if 7-8 years then 2 lakh rupees while in the name of the 13-14 year old girl And FDR of 4 lakh rupees is made in the bank and given. He said that in the same way, of course, the cost of sending the dead body from Greece is done by the Indian Embassy But they have decided that the Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust will transport the dead bodies from Greece to Punjab from the airport to their heirs and provide pension to the needy families and FDR facility to the victims' daughters.
It is worth mentioning that during this Gurdwara Sri Nanak Durbar Athens and Gurdwara Singh Sabha Mainidhi, Greece, Dr. SP Singh Oberoi and his religious wife Mrs. Maninder Kaur Oberoi were specially honored during which the Indian Ambassador to Greece Rudredra Tandon and Gurdwara Sri Nanak Durbar President Daljit Singh along with members of the committees of Gurdwara Sahibs and other dignitaries were present.
