He said that the cooperative societies of Patiala district also have 73 tractors including 324 Happy Seeder, 53 Super Seeder, 32 Paddy Straw Chopper, 118 Mulcher, 122 RMB Plough, 210 Zero Till Drill, 11 Super SMS, 294 Rotavator, which are available to the farmers. Are being made available for stubble management and wheat sowing. He said that before the start of the season, all the machinery has been repaired by the cooperative societies and even if the machinery breaks down during the season, nodal officers have been appointed in coordination with the equipment manufacturing companies for immediate repairs. So that machinery faults can be rectified immediately during the season.
Sakshi Sahni said that farmers can also directly contact the cooperative societies to get the machinery, or can get information about the machinery by sending a message on the WhatsApp chat bot number 73800-16070 prepared by the district administration. He said that farmers who contact the chat bot are called from the control room and the information about the day and where the machinery is required is shared with the nodal officer of the area, so that the machinery can reach the farmer on time.
