Chandigarh : 20th October, 2023 : Inter Technology Universities Sports Association Tournament (ITUSA) was held in Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh on 20th October 2023. The theme of ITUSA this year 2023 is ''Unity through Sports''.  
The inauguration ceremony was graced by chief guest Prof. Baldev Setia, Director, PEC, Chandigarh, along with Dr. D.R. Prajapati (Dean Student Affairs) and Dr. Sarabjit Singh ( ) PEC, Chandigarh.  
Prof. Baldev Setia, Director, PEC, while addressing the gathering, said, ''sports is about teamwork. Sports teaches you to lose with grace.'' He congratulated the various teams of different institutions and welcomed them to the prestigious PEC Campus. He motivated all the sports persons and to play the game in its true spirit.  
Furthermore, Dean Student Affairs, Dr. D. R. Prajapati explained the theme of ITUSA, 2023, which is, "Unity through Sports". He also quoted that, ''True victory lies not in winning, but in the way you play. We are not just competing on the field but also contributing to the legacy of the Sports at PEC. 
The event was full of enthusiastic participation from various institutes including NIT Kurukshetra, TIET Patiala, NIT Delhi, NIT Jalandhar, SLIET Longowal, IIT Ropar and PEC Chandigarh.
The tournament mainly consisted of Lawn Tennis, Badminton and Chess.  
 
Results: 
The results of day 1 are as under:-
In the Badminton (Boys) Section; 1st match – NIT Jalandhar beat NIT Kurukshetra (3-0).
2nd match – SLIET Longowal beat NIT Delhi (3-0) and 3rd match – PEC Chandigarh beat IIT Ropar (3-0).
In the Badminton (Girls) Section; 1st match – Thapar Patiala beat PEC Chandigarh (2-0).
2nd match – NIT Delhi beat IIT Ropar (2-0)
In Chess (Boys) Section;  PEC Chandigarh won from IIT Ropar. Thapar Patiala won from SLIET Longowal. NIT Delhi won from NIT Kurukshetra.
In Chess (Girls) Section; Match between PEC Chandigarh and NIT Kurukshetra declared ‘DRAW’. Match between Thapar Patiala and NIT Delhi was also declared ‘DRAW’.
In Lawn Tennis (Boys) Section; 1st match – Thapar Patiala beat NIT Delhi (2-0).
2nd match – PEC, Chandigarh beat NIT Jalandhar (2-0) and 3rd match – Thapar Patiala beat NIT Jalandhar (2-0).
