S. A. S. Nagar, October 19 - Shiromani Akali Dal has started preparations for Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee elections. A full meeting of party's Mohali Urban Jatha was held at Gurdwara Amb Sahib in Mohali under the leadership of Parvinder Singh Sohana, in-charge of party's Mohali Constituency. On this occasion, the forms of the Shiromani Committee regarding the elections to be held from October 21 were distributed and arrangements were made to deliver the forms to the voters by going from house to house.
Addressing the meeting, Parvinder Singh Sohana said that no eligible voter should remain without voting for the Gurdwara Committee elections. He appealed to the party leaders and workers to take personal interest in delivering the vote forms to the voters and make them aware to cast their votes.
He said that members of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee elected under the leadership of Shiromani Akali Dal have been rendering valuable service through this organization for decades.
He said that in every election, the sect opposition parties wear sect masks and directly and indirectly interfere in these elections, but the Sikh Sangat always gives this service to Shiromani Akali Dal, the representative organization of the sect.
