SAS Nagar, October 17 - Sri Ramlila and Dussehra Committee staged Dhanush Yag, Parashuram-Lakshman dialogue and Sita Swayambar on the third day of Ramlila at Local Phase-1. On this occasion King Janak of Mithila organized Swayambar for the marriage of his daughter Sita. In which a condition was laid that Janaki will be married to the one who breaks Shiva's bow.
On the invitation of King Janak, along with the kings of many countries, Rama Lakshman also comes along with Guru Vishwamitra. All the kings try to break the bow one by one but no one can move it. Sage Vishvamitra then orders Rama to break the bow with a gesture and as soon as Sri Rama picks up the bow it breaks.
At the same time, an angry Parashuram reaches there. This is followed by a heated exchange between Lakshmana and Parashuram. After this, the marriage of Lord Sri Ram and Sita ji takes place with great fanfare.
