Una, October 26 - Students studying in all the colleges and other higher educational institutions of Una district will now launch a campaign against drug abuse. Under the drug-free Una campaign, a one-day training camp was organized in the Zilla Parishad auditorium for peer leaders of various higher educational institutions including all the colleges, ITI, engineering, nursing and law colleges of the district. More than 100 students took training in this camp. After this training, these peer leaders will now take charge of the drug-free Una campaign run against drugs in their respective educational institutions. In the workshop, Vijay Kumar and Pankaj Pandit, as resource persons, gave detailed information to the youth about the increasing challenges of drug addiction and their solutions.
Vijay Kumar said that the young generation is most affected by the prevalence of drug addiction and the young generation has the most important role in its eradication. Peers (friends) play the most important role in the life of youth. Be it in shaping the future or in destroying it. In such a situation, this training of peer leaders is the most important link of this campaign. Because only a youth can be a source of inspiration for the youth. In such a situation, these peer leaders will strengthen the campaign against drug abuse by organizing students in their respective educational institutions. He called upon the students to ensure participation of maximum students by organizing various events for awareness against drugs in their respective educational institutions and also to try to create a positive environment against drugs on social media.
