Harmilan Bains, a talented young woman from Mahilpur, made India shine by winning the silver medal in the 1500m race at the Asian Games.
It is also worth mentioning here that she missed going to the Olympic Games by a fourth part of a second. Now she broke all her records in the Asian Games with her Dum Kham 

and won the silver medal. Her international achievements are due to the special contribution of her grandmother Gurmeet Kaur Bains, former president Municipal Council Mahilpur, 

mother Arjan Awardee Madhri A Singh and father international athlete Amandeep Singh Bains. l
Today, on this special occasion, it is also important to mention his grandfather Giani Harkewal Singh Tauri who was a National Awardee teacher and writer.
