Mohali Police has arrested a person on the charge of murdering his wife. Giving information in this regard, DSP City 2 Harsimran Singh Bal said 

that Harjit Singh resident of village Rajindergarh police station Badali Ala Singh district Fatehgarh Sahib had given a complaint that in 2011 his younger sister Rupinder Kaur got 

married to Nirmal Singh resident of village Chau Majra ( police station Sohana) happened to He has two children, the elder daughter Loveleen Kaur is about 11 years old and the 

younger son Babanpreet Singh is about 8 years old.

It was stated in the complaint that his brother-in-law Nirmal Singh, who works in the fire brigade department at Sirhand, is addicted to alcohol. Who often used to fight with his 

sister at home and used to beat her. Nirmal Singh also threatened to kill his sister.

According to the complainant, on September 16, Rupinder Kaur's father-in-law Harbans Singh called her brother Harinder Singh and said that your sister is not well, she is lying 

unconscious, you should come quickly, on which he asked his father Gurdev Singh and mother Karamjit Kaur. When his sister's father-in-law reached the village of Chau Majra, he 

saw that his sister was lying dead on the bed.

She said in the complaint that Nirmal Singh had strangled her sister Rupinder Kaur with a mortar and her niece Loveleen Kaur (aged about 11 years) said that her father had told her 

that this morning (when she was about to go to school). He beat his mother and used to say about killing her. When she came back from school at around 12:00, she saw that her 

mother had a choker tied around her neck. Due to which his mother died. According to the complainant, due to Nirmal Singh's illicit relationship with a non-woman, he strangled 

Rupinder Kaur with a pickaxe.

In this regard, the police had registered a case under section 302, 34 of the IPC against Nirmal Singh and an unknown woman in the Sohana police station. Mr. Ball said that Nirmal 

Singh has been arrested by the police under the leadership of Inspector Sarabjit Singh Cheema, Chief Officer of Sohana police station. The police is investigating the matter.
