The Government Teachers' Union has alleged that the Punjab Government has given the presentment orders on July 28 under the pretense of appointing raw teachers and that order was just a drama because he only offered a salary hike and 5 percent annual increment, which mocked the poor teachers.

Union leader Surjit Singh said that a continuous dharna has been going on since June 13 at the water tank of village Khurana on the land of Sangrur and Inderjit Singh Mansa has also been continuously protesting at the water tank. He said that the notice of dismissal from the job of Inderjit Singh Mansa, who stood on the tank for his legitimate and rightful demands, has been removed. He said that on the one hand, the Punjab government is creating pretend dramas through the social media on a large scale of its activities that the teachers are irregular to regular Instead, notices are being issued to dismiss irregular teachers.

He said that in this regard, under the representation of Union Punjab President Manpreet Singh Moga, raw teachers burnt copies of the dismissal notice with the support of headquarters and fraternal organizations as a protest. The leaders said that they want to tell the Punjab government that they have spent a lot of time sitting peacefully but now they are being harassed deliberately which they will not tolerate at all and if the Punjab government follows the same course. They will have to take strict action and the Punjab government will be seen protesting from the stage.

The leaders appealed that instead of sacking the teachers, a meaningful solution should be found in the Chief Minister's meeting on September 29, otherwise the struggle will be intensified in the coming days. On this occasion, State Vice President and District President Mohali Karamvir Singh, Ravinder Singh, Satinderpal Singh, Balwinder Singh, Avtar Singh, Sukhvir Singh, Jagmohan Singh, Madam Veenu, Kuljit Kaur Manpreet Singh were present.
