The police of Garhshankar police station have registered a case after arresting the brother and sister along with 290 grams of drugs. Giving information in this regard, SHO Garhshankar Jai Pal said that the campaign being conducted by SSP Hoshiarpur Sartaj Singh Chahal against drug traffickers got success when Inspector Kuldeep Singh posted at police station Garhshankar along with the police party crossed the bridge. When a motorcyclist was stopped on Nehr Nawanshahr Road, the lady sitting behind the motorcyclist hurriedly threw down the envelope she was carrying. He said that the motorcycle driver gave his name as Rajan son of Sarwan Das and the woman gave her name as Anjana Devi alias Anju wife Ashwani Kumar resident of Denowal Khurd. When the envelope was checked, 290 grams of narcotic substance was recovered from it. SHO police station Garhshankar Jai Pal said that a case has been registered under the NDPS Act against Rajan son Saravan Das and Anjana Devi alias Anju wife Ashwani Kumar resident of Denowal Khurd in police station Garhshankar. He said that both the arrested persons are brothers and sisters and three cases have already been registered against Anjana Devi in Garhshankar police station. He said that the accused will be remanded from the court and interrogated as to from whom he used to buy these drugs and to whom he sold them.
