SAS Nagar, September 8 Indus Hospital Fatehgarh Sahib Cancer Surgeon Dr. Rajandeep Singh Sethi has given a new life to a woman by removing a ten kg tumor from her stomach. Dr. Rajandeep said that the said 61-year-old woman was brought here by her family members in critical condition and a 10 kg tumor was removed from her stomach after the operation.

They said that the woman's intestines were badly trapped inside the tumor, which were taken out and put back in place. Dr. Rajandeep said that along with the uterus, ovaries, diseased lymph nodes and fat tissue had to be removed and the woman is now completely healthy after a successful three-hour operation.

He said that according to ICMR and National Registry, ovarian cancer is the most common cancer in Punjab after breast, cervix, uterus, esophagus.
