SAS Nagar, September 5 In protest against the poor power supply to the agriculture sector, Kisan Union Sidhupur staged a dharna in front of Axion office in Kharar Grid and raised slogans against the government. Addressing on this occasion, Union State Press Secretary S. Meher Singh Thedi said that in the month of July, due to the calamity of nature, Punjab was completely flooded and the area that was spared due to the receding water, then drought came in the month of August and during this time, the electricity department was unable to supply electricity to the agriculture sector. Failed miserably. On this occasion, District President Ravinder Singh Deh Kalan and Sz. Gyan Singh Dhadak also addressed. The district press secretary of the union, Haqiq Singh Gharwan, said that during the dharna, Axion Inderpreet Singh came to the dharna and assured the farmers that the power supply will be fine from today because wherever there was a fault, it has been rectified. After which it was announced to end the sit-in and the department was warned that if the supply did not improve, then the farmers would be forced to put up a big struggle.
