A copy of this complaint has also been sent to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa, Revenue Minister Punjab and Additional Chief Secretary Revenue Department Punjab.

Rakesh Kumar said that he was offered to sell his land located in Patton village of Mohali by three persons and showed the individual of his land in which they owned. The said persons offered to sell the land of one of the owners from the ownership recorded in the revenue records. He said that after that he and the land seller went to the concerned patwari and checked the revenue record from the computer by applying biometric and thumb prints, on which it was revealed that the seller is the owner of 5 bighe 1 biswa 18.33 biswasian village Patton Mohali.

According to Rakesh Kumar, he paid heavy stamp duty ie Rs 9,56,250 to the government for execution and registration of this sale deed and Rs 1,57,00,000 was paid to the land seller resident of village Patton Tehsil Mohali. After registration he went to the concerned Patwari to register the transfer on 7th June 2023 and submitted the documents to the concerned Patwari for registration and approval of the transfer.

He said that after that he met the patwari several times but he refused to register the transfer saying that it cannot be done without a fee and demanded Rs 20 lakh for registering and approving the transfer. Rakesh Kumar alleged that the Patwari says that the land is not in the name of the said seller. So they have to pay 20 lakh rupees to fix it.

Rakesh Kumar said that he was shocked to hear the said matter and went to Naib Tehsildar and Tehsildar Amit Chawla but they sent him back after not listening to him. After this, he approached the SDM, Mohali and revealed the whole story, who assured that he would investigate the matter, but when the matter went cold, he gave a written complaint to the Deputy Commissioner, Mohali. is

In this regard, Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that they have received a complaint regarding this matter and they are investigating this complaint. He said that if the involvement of any revenue department official comes to light, strict action will be taken against him.
