Chandigarh September 20, 2024- University Institute of Fashion Technology and Vocational Development (UIFT&VD) hosted a two-day workshop, "Threads of Tradition", featuring renowned Phulkari expert, Ms. Manpreet Kaur from Patti, Punjab.
Ms. Kaur, expert and founder of 'Phulkari House', a brand dedicated to preserving and promoting traditional Phulkari products, shared her expertise in traditional Punjabi embroidery.
The workshop delved into various types and stitches of Phulkari, providing participants with comprehensive insights.
Through hands-on sessions, interactive discussions, and expert demonstrations, Ms. Kaur guided students of B.Sc. Fashion and Lifestyle Technology, who participated enthusiastically.
The workshop was convened by Ms. Ginni Singh, Senior Research Fellow (SRF), and Ms. Deepa, Guest Faculty.
Dr. Prabhdip Brar, Chairperson, UIFT&VD, expressed her gratitude to Ms. Manpreet Kaur for sharing her valuable insights and expertise.
