Meeting with the representatives of political parties regarding the rationalization of polling stations under the special cursory correction of voter lists-2025 campaign.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, September 19:- Under the Special Sarsari Sudhar-2025 Campaign, a meeting was held with the representatives of all the recognized political parties of the district under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Additional District Election Officer, SAS Nagar, Viraj S Tidke regarding rationalization of polling stations of three assembly constituencies 52-Kharar, 53-SAS Nagar and 112-Derabassi of District SAS Nagar in connection with the preparation of photo voter list.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, September 19:- Under the Special Sarsari Sudhar-2025 Campaign, a meeting was held with the representatives of all the recognized political parties of the district under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Additional District Election Officer, SAS Nagar, Viraj S Tidke regarding rationalization of polling stations of three assembly constituencies 52-Kharar, 53-SAS Nagar and 112-Derabassi of District SAS Nagar in connection with the preparation of photo voter list.
In this meeting, the representatives of political parties were told by the Additional District Election Officer that as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, there should not be more than 1500 voters at any polling station. 9 polling stations have been increased in 52-Kharar Assembly Constituency, 7 in 53-SAS Nagar and 3 in 112-Dera Bassi and changes have also been made in the polling station buildings of all the three assembly constituencies.
During the meeting, the representatives of the political parties were also provided a copy of the proposal for increased polling stations and a copy of the voter list program for the year 2025. The representatives of the political parties were appealed to give their claim or objection regarding the polling stations within two days. Apart from this, the political parties were also asked to put their BLA at every polling station. The representatives of all the political parties were also informed about the form that Form No. 6 for new vote, Form No. 7 for cancellation of vote, Form No. 8 for election correction/shifting/PWD marking/duplicate voter card should be applied online. Sukhdev Singh (Bahujan Samana Party), Bahadur Singh (Aam Aadmi Party), Dr Virinder Kochar (Bharati Janata Party), Harvinder Singh (Shiromani Akali Dal), Sanjay Kumar Election Tehsildar, Varun Garg Election Kanungo, SAS Nagar, Surinder Kumar Election Kanungo Derabassi and Jagtar Singh Junior Assistant were present in the meeting.
