Kharar, September 17:- Swachhata Week was inaugurated with the slogan 'Swachh Mohali Tandrust Mohali' in Government Polytechnic College Khooni Majra under the leadership of Principal Rajiv Puri in collaboration with Mahindra & Mahindra Swaraj Unit. On this occasion, a quiz competition and cleanliness rally of students were also taken out. Students were shouting slogans like 'Don't ask for polythene, don't be ashamed to pick up cloth bags'. Tarun Dupar Deputy General Manager (ER), Dr. Vimal Shri Vastav Deputy General Manager (CSR) and the entire team were present at Swaraj. Praveen Kaur, Head of the Department of Modern Office Practices of the college welcomed the guests. Officer-in-Charge Civil Engineering Prof. Gurbakshish Singh Antal gave information about the method of making organic manure by separating wet and dry waste through compost pit method. Dr. Vimal Shri Vastav gave information about the Swachh Bharat Survey and the importance of cleanliness. This campaign was led by Professor Gurmel Singh, Head of the Electronics Department. On this occasion, Swaraj also gave dustbins and their stands to the college. On this occasion, Mr. Sanjeev Jindal Head Mechanical Department, Kavita Monga Head Applied Science, Professor Prabhdeep Singh, Manpreet Kaur and Madam Apanjeet Kaur were also present.
