Kolkata, September 16 - An agreement has been reached today during a meeting between the doctors protesting in the case of rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata and the state government. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has accepted three demands of the doctors, in which four officials including the police commissioner have been replaced. In this regard, Mamata Banerjee while talking to reporters late at night said that the Police Commissioner of Kolkata has been removed. Apart from this, Health Director, Medical Education Director and North Kolkata Deputy Commissioner have been removed. Before this, these doctors did not return to work even after the order of the Supreme Court, due to which the state government invited these doctors for talks for the last time today. These doctors reached West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's residence this evening. Earlier, they had demanded that they should be allowed to record and sign the minutes of the conversation. The state government has accepted this condition. Chief Secretary Manoj Pant said that both parties will sign the minutes of the meeting and copies will be shared for clarity.
