Present State Leader of DTF Mukesh Kumar and Punjab Pay Scale Restoration United Front Punjab leader Balkar Singh Maghani said that the present Punjab government announced about two years ago during the assembly elections of Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat states to stop a new pension scheme in Punjab and re-implement the Old Pension Scheme and also issued its notification. But despite almost two years having passed, the Old Pension Scheme has not actually been implemented in Punjab. Despite the announcement and notification of implementation of old pension scheme by the government, the NPS deduction of employees serving under government departments of Punjab has not stopped and neither the GPF (General Provident Fund) account of the employees has been opened nor the GPF deduction has started. He demanded from the Punjab government to implement the old pension scheme as soon as possible and start deducting GPF of the employees. Otherwise, they will intensify their struggle and organize a three-day Pension Prapti Morcha from October 1 to October 3 in Sangrur, the constituency of the Chief Minister.
On this occasion, Madam Khushwinder Kaur, Madam Priyanka Bhatia, Madam Baljinder Kaur, Madam Sandeep Kaur, Madam Kiran, Madam Sweta Lamb, Madam Seema Rani, Rakesh Kumar, Jatinder Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Sarabjit Singh Balwinder Singh and other leaders were also present.
