SAS Nagar, September 9:- As per the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police, District SAS Nagar Deepak Pareek, IPS, during the operation launched by Mohali Police against bad elements, under the supervision of Captain Police Investigation Dr. Jyoti Yadav, District SAS Nagar and Deputy Captain Police (Investigation) Talwinder Singh, Inspector Harminder Singh Incharge CIA Staff Mohali Camp and Kharar team arrested 02 accused and successfully recovered 01 illegal pistol .32 bore along with 02 live cartridges and a vehicle no: PB19-V-3453 from him.

He informed that on 05-09-2024, police party of CIA Staff was present near Airport Chowk, where ASI Gurdeep Singh of CIA Staff received information that Awanpreet Singh son of Iqbal Singh resident of Mahal Kalan, District Barnala and Sandeep Singh alias Mintu son of Jagroop resident of village Sahaur District Barnala who are in possession of illegal weapons and cases of armed conflict are registered against them even before. Who are still waiting for a friend near the roof light in vehicle number: PB19-V-3453 brand Mahindra XUV-300 color black. If they are caught by raiding, illegal weapons can be recovered from them.

On the basis of the information received, case number 104 dated 05-09-2024 and / or 25-54-59 Arms Act was registered against the following accused in IT City police station. After being caught from the nearby roof light slip road, 02 live cartridges along with a .32 bore pistol were recovered from the dashboard of vehicle number:- PB19-V-3453. The accused are on police remand, they are being questioned as to from whom and for what purpose they brought these weapons.

1. Accused Evenpreet Singh son of Iqbal Singh resident of village Mahal Khurd police station Mahal Kalan, currently resident of Golden Colony.

Mahal Kalan, Police Station Mahal Kalan, District Barnala, Age about 27 years, passed class XII and unmarried. A case of assault is already registered against the accused in the police station.

2. Accused Sandeep Singh alias Mintu son Jagroop Singh resident village Sahor, Police Station Thuli Wal, District Barnala Age

He is about 36 years old, he has passed class XII and is married.
