Teacher's Day 2024 Celebrations held at PEC

Chandigarh, 05th September 2024:- Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, celebrated Teacher's Day 2024 with enthusiasm and joy. The PEC Auditorium was filled with the cheerful faces of teachers and faculty members. Each teacher was warmly welcomed with flowers and greeting cards, presented by the students.

Prof. Uma Batra, Dean of Faculty Affairs, shared her thoughts on the significance of the day and reflected on what it truly means to be a teacher. Drawing from the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita, she highlighted the profound relationship between teachers and students, emphasizing how close interaction and association with teachers can open minds. She concluded by extending her best wishes to everyone on this special occasion.
Dr. D.R. Prajapati, Dean of Student Affairs, delivered his thoughts in an engaging and poetic style, captivating the audience with his shayari.
The celebration continued with a soulful musical performance by the Institute's Music Club, followed by a heartfelt solo by Prof. Shakti Kumar from the Civil Engineering Department. Fun activities, organized by the students, added to the lively atmosphere. Dr. Poonam Saini and Dr. Shilpa from the Computer Science & Engineering Department performed a duet, while students from the Hindi and Punjabi Editorial Boards recited poems dedicated to their teachers. Prof. Rakesh Kumar from the Aerospace Engineering Department and Dr. Jaswinder Singh from PIED also performed beautiful songs during the event. The Dramatics Club of the Institute dazzled the audience with a vibrant performance, adding a special touch to the celebration.
