He said that till last year, 2651 machines were provided on subsidy to different farmers in the district for stubble management and 178 machines have been sanctioned during the current year, so that the farmers of the district can use these machines in a better way. can manage stubble with He said that these machines include in-situ machines for handling the straw in the fields and ex-situ baler machines for collecting the straw and making its bales for use in various industrial units.
He said that in order to provide information regarding the availability of machines at the block level to the farmers, the agriculture department has the mobile number along with the complete details of the owners of these machines and the farmers of the district can use these machines by coordinating with the agriculture department. He expressed his gratitude for the cooperation given by the farmers of the district in stubble management in the past and appealed to all farmers' unions and farmers of the district to make a valuable contribution in the conservation of environment by proper management of stubble during the current year as well.
On this occasion, the leaders of various farmer unions assured to give full support to the district administration regarding stubble management. He said that farmers are already sincere about environmental protection. He demanded the administration to provide stubble management machines at the cooperative societies of the district, so that the small and marginal farmers can manage the stubble efficiently with these machines.
During the meeting, Additional Deputy Commissioner (R) Rahul Chaba asked the farmers to take full advantage of the awareness camps organized by the Agriculture Department in the villages and use the machines available in the district to the maximum extent in their own fields as well as in the fields of other farmers.
