Bus operators have built a bus stand on the highway, people are getting upset
Maur Mandi - When the common people are not being listened to during the so-called Aam Aadmi Party government, then what is the meaning of the Aam Aadmi government? An example of which can be seen in the Assembly Constituency and Tehsil Maur Mandi of Bathinda District. Where the common people are very upset about the bus stand for a long time.
Because the roads are broken at that place, instead of taking the buses to the bus stand, the bus operators are stopping them at the roundabout on the state highway without informing the people and the passengers are dropped there. Due to which people have to take auto or rickshaw due to compulsion which is an economic burden imposed on the common people and also auto or rickshaw owners collect the fare at their own will. Due to the non-arrival of buses in the bus stand, the shopkeepers of the market with the bus stand are suffering huge financial loss due to which there is a lot of protest among the shopkeepers. The municipal council is also suffering a daily loss of around 5000 rupees. Regarding this loss of the municipal council, the matter has not been taken seriously by the functional officer of the municipal council. However, a written request was sent by Karnail Singh, the president of the Municipal Council, to the Honorable Deputy Commissioner, Bathinda. That the buses should be started to come and go to the bus stand of the Nagar Council to save the common people from inconvenience. It was also written in the petition that without the approval of the Deputy Commissioner, no other person can establish a bus stand of his own accord, while some persons have violated the instructions/laws. Due to which the image of the government is deteriorating among the common people and the municipal council is also suffering financial loss. The president of the municipal council and the general public have demanded from the government that strict legal action should be taken against the violations of the instructions/laws by the persons concerned. On the other hand, when I spoke to the general manager of PRTC, Bathinda, mobile number 98886-53545, he said that as long as the road leading to the bus stand is not repaired, the buses will not enter the bus stand. Now it will be seen whether the buses will come to the bus stand or the common people will continue to suffer in the same way.
