Nawanshahr - The monthly meeting of Pensioners Association PSPCL/TCL Mandal Nawanshahr was held under the leadership of Mandal and Mandal President Narendra Kumar Mehta. In which Circle Finance Secretary Kulwinder Atwal, Divisional Secretary Madan Lal Ramraipur, Shivraj, Satpal Bhatia, Niranjan Kangan, Prem Chankoa, Ravinder Bhaskar Rahon, Juginder Singh Begumpur, Shambhu Narayan Rahon etc. spoke about the demands from the Punjab Government in their address. They strongly condemned the evasive policy of scheduling the meetings and running away from the meetings.
As part of the strike being organized by the Joint Front of employees and pensioners against this weak policy of the government, a state level rally and protest march will be held in Chandigarh on September 3. After this, a protest dharna will be held in front of Mandal Nawanshahr on September 11.
The genuine and legitimate demands of pensioners, which include factor of 2.59, pending DA and DA installments from 1-1-16, increase in medical allowance, restoration of medical cashless scheme, concessions to pensioners in units, unconditional benefit of 23 years, judicial tax of Rs 200 per month being forcibly deducted in the name of development, etc. are not being resolved, while the government is calling these demands legitimate. And time is being wasted.
On this occasion, Madan Lal, Surinder, Hukum Chand, Ashok Kumar, Gurdeep Singh Superintendent, Gurdev Singh Rahon, Juginder Singh, Jagroop, Ramlubhaya, Om Prakash and other pensioners were present in the role of stage secretary.
