Bengaluru, August 31 - Ministers, MLAs and Congress leaders of the state staged a protest under the 'Raj Bhavan Chalo' march in the capital Bengaluru on Saturday against Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot's approval of trial against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. done Which was led by Deputy Chief Minister and Congress leader DK Shivakumar.
The ruling party Congress alleges that the Governor has taken this action in a biased manner, as there are many other such cases pending before the Governor, but Mr. Gehlot has given permission to conduct the case only against the Chief Minister.
The protestors demanded that the governor approves the prosecution of a case against Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy in the mining case as well.
The march started from the statue of Mahatma Gandhi near the Vidhan Sabha and reached the Raj Bhavan where the Congress handed over a demand letter to the Governor.
