He instructed that the pharmacy should keep a complete record of this medicine. He said that the Civil Surgeon has informed through his office's letter No. Drugs/2023/452 dated 24.8.2023. That Pregabalin is commonly used by Medical Specialists/ Psychiatrists/ GDMOs for the treatment of patients with fibromyalgia/neuralgia etc. But pregabalin can be abused as a drug in high doses.
Therefore, Pregabalin medicine should be given by the pharmacy only on the basis of the approval of the competent doctor and only for the specified time. This order will remain in force till October 25, 2024.
