Patiala, August 30 - An organization named 'Nishkam Aid' donated four beds and four fans to the CC and Sports Hostel (Girls) of Punjabi University, Patiala. Dean, Student Welfare Dr. Monica Chawla expressed special thanks to Nishkam Aid social service organization for this initiative.
She said that there are very few people with different thinking and guidance to the society, who make such a noble effort by understanding the problems and needs at the ground level.
Hostel Warden Dr. Nimmi also praised the work of this organization and expressed special thanks. Nishkam Aid President Jagtar Singh Saini and Treasurer Parminder Singh Ritwal, while handing over the goods, said that there is a need to change the direction of the trend of giving donations in the society. We can make the future better only when the donation is used for the welfare of the people. He said that we should pay special attention to educational institutions because an uneducated person is a traveler who does not know his destination.
On this occasion, Dean, Student Welfare Office and all the staff of the concerned hostels were also present.
