Information given to traders and industrialists about the e-portal of the Hazardous Waste Tracking System

Officials of Punjab Pollution Control Board and Central Pollution Control Board, Dr. Deepti Kapil and their colleagues today held a "consultative meeting" at Ludhiana regarding the management information system module of hazardous waste tracking system (e-portal) in Punjab. Traders and artisans involved in various activities participated.
PPCB Chief Environmental Engineer, Eng (Dr.) Krunesh Garg as the chief guest of the advisory meeting program regarding this tracking system, in his address, the dangerous effects of hazardous waste, the rules/regulations, the usefulness of the tracking system in the present time and the expectation of cooperation from all. He also thanked them for participating in it. Chief Environmental Engineer Rajiv Goyal also shared his views regarding this tracking system.
On this occasion, Dr. Deepti Kapil, Assistant Director, CPCB gave a detailed information about this module by using it live and said that there will be a complete record of the various stages of hazardous waste from its generation (type and quantity) to its disposal.
During the question and answer session, the industrialists expressed many questions/doubts regarding the use of this module, which were answered satisfactorily by the central team. He said that legally the trader/industrialist dealing with hazardous waste is required to register on this portal. Punjab Pollution Control Board Chairman Professor (Dr) Adarsh ??Paul Vig, who could not attend the program due to his office commitments and was continuously watching the program through Webex, welcomed and thanked everyone in his online address and said that the air And going far beyond water pollution, among many other pollutions, today's scientific and proper management of hazardous waste, recycling, reprocessing and its management in a scientific manner is also a great service to nature.
