Punjab Govt committed to help youth stand on their feet: MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa

 These views were expressed by Sardar Kuljit Singh Randhawa, MLA of Derabassi Constituency, while attending the mega placement camp organized by the District Employment and Business Bureau at Ram Mandir Bhavan, Derabassi, with the help of private sector companies. He told the officials that such camps must be conducted 04 times in a year so that the youth can get maximum employment opportunities.
 MLA Sardar Randhawa said that the Punjab government is making all efforts to give government jobs to the youth But as there is a limit to the number of government jobs, efforts are also on to get the youth employed in the private sector. He said that even in the private sector, good companies provide jobs by giving good salary packages. He said that along with this, attention should also be given to starting one's own business, for which the Punjab government also provides training and loan facilities.
 Giving more information about this camp, Additional Sub-Divisional Magistrate Mr. Himanshu Gupta said that 264 candidates participated in this camp, out of which 152 candidates were short-listed by the companies for the technical round.
 In this mega placement camp, Phone Pay, Hinduja Housing Finance, Saurabh Chemicals, KG Trading, Shore & Solutions, Wimco, Swaraj Mahindra Engines, Puma Store, Usha Yarns, Lavya Health Care, D-Mart, Amartex Zirakpur, Globe Automobiles (Toyota) , QS Corporation for Swiggy Instamart, Team Lease for SBI Credit Cards, Allenger's Medical System, (Team Lease), Rahi Care Dialysis Center, Bharti Airtel, Even Cargos, Hindustan Unilever Limited among others joined.
 Boys and girls, aged between 18 to 35 years and with minimum qualifications of 10th, 12th, Graduation, ITI, ANM, GNM, BSc Nursing etc. participated in the placement camp.
 Along with this, the representatives of Fisheries, Dairy Department, District Industries Center and PNB Bank provided information to the aspirants about self-employment.
 On this occasion, officials and dignitaries of various departments including Deputy CEO District Employment and Business Bureau Sukhman Bath were present. The Deputy CEO thanked Sub Divisional Magistrate Shri Himanshu Gupta for his important contribution in the success of the camp.
