The general secretary of the federation, Pawan Godial, said that this matter was discussed during the meeting chaired by the state senior vice president of the organization Mr. Mohan Singh. That according to the written decision made in the meeting with the mayor and commissioner of the municipal corporation during the 6-day strike in April 2024, the demands were assured to be passed in the upcoming house meeting. According to him, resolutions are not being brought in the house due to which the group of sanitation workers is very angry.
He said that it has been decided in the meeting that from tomorrow August 22, road cleaning, garbage collection from house to house, sewage cleaning, garbage collection vehicles, cleaning of public toilets will be stopped completely. An indefinite strike will be launched. A large number of leaders including Sobha Ram, Jagjit Singh, Adesh Kumar, Gurpreet Singh, Anil Kumar, Yashpal, Brij Mohan, Raju Sangelia, Roshan Lal, and Sachin Puhal were present during the meeting.
