This step will protect the interests of farmers and they will be saved from any kind of fraud. The Deputy Chief Minister said this while hearing public problems in Pandoga on Wednesday.

Una, August 21 - Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that a strong system will be created to ensure safe and worry-free sale of crops of potato growers of Una district. This step will protect the interests of farmers and they will be saved from any kind of fraud. The Deputy Chief Minister said this while hearing public problems in Pandoga on Wednesday.
Addressing the farmers, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the state government has taken concrete steps to increase the income of farmers. The government has implemented the Him Unnati Yojana to promote natural farming, for which a budget of Rs 150 crore has been allocated. Under this scheme, a target has been set to establish 2,600 agricultural groups to involve 50,000 farmers. Naturally grown wheat and maize will be purchased at a minimum support price of Rs 40 and Rs 30 per kilogram respectively, which is the highest in the country. This will create new employment opportunities for the youth.
70 crores will be spent on construction and expansion of roads and bridges in Haroli area
The Deputy Chief Minister said that Rs 70 crore will be spent on the improvement and expansion work of various roads and construction of bridges in Haroli assembly. These include Rs 11.10 crore on the improvement and expansion work of 9 km road from Pandoga Barrier to Panjawar, Rs 12.25 crore on the work of Bhadsali to Badhera road on Panjawar-Bathdi road, Rs 9.46 crore on the 8.5 km road from Panjawar-Bathdi to Saloh-Badhera, Rs 6.50 crore on the 5 km road from Haroli to Palakwah, Rs 6.05 crore on the 5.5 km long road of Nangal Khurd-Chandpur. Apart from this, two bridges will be constructed on Chandpur Khad at a cost of about Rs 4.87 crore and on Haroli Khad at a cost of Rs 5.75 crore.
He informed that 2 roads have been approved by NABARD for the area. Out of these, Rs 4 crore will be spent on Link Road Shri Gidgidda Sahib to Tahli Sahib and Link Road Main Road to Baba Bharthari Temple and Kinnu Mohalla Panjuana-Baliwal Road and Rs 11.77 crore will be spent on Link Road Gondpur Baihali to Bathi Gurpalah.
These projects are being undertaken keeping in mind the future traffic needs of the area and will directly benefit the people.
He said that two culverts are being constructed for the common path and police post in Pandoga village at a cost of Rs 3 crore. Also, flood control and security wall is being constructed along the colony in Pandoga at a cost of Rs 2.37 crore, which will directly benefit about 100 families. He also gave instructions to ensure drinking water supply in Jaildar Mohalla of Pandoga.
Inspection of development projects
After this, the Deputy Chief Minister inspected other development projects including embankment works of ravines and drains in Pandoga, Khad and Paneda areas. He reviewed the progress of flood control works being done at Athvain Khad at a cost of Rs 3.35 crore and at Khad village at a cost of Rs 6.90 crore. He directed to complete these works on time and with high quality.
Apart from this, while visiting the check dam in Paneda, the Deputy Chief Minister also gave instructions to remove silt from the dam and fulfill the need for its repair on priority basis.
Worship at Shri Shesh Nag Temple
During his visit, the Deputy Chief Minister paid obeisance at the ancient Shri Shesh Nag temple located in Khadd village and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the district and the state.
During this, Una District Congress President Ranjeet Rana, State Transport Corporation Board of Directors member Dharmendra Dhami, former head of Pandoga Manish Kang, Deputy Head Gurpal, former Panchayat Samiti member Amit Thakur, Isapur Truck Union Head Pankaj Dutta, officers from various departments and party workers were with him.
Rampur Bridge inspection
Late Tuesday evening, the Deputy Chief Minister inspected the bridge on the Rampur-Santoshgarh road near Una which was damaged due to heavy rains. He directed the officials to repair the bridge as soon as possible so that the traffic can run smoothly.
