Una, August 20 - The work of rationalization of the lists of polling stations has started in Una district. Nodal officers have been appointed to do physical verification of polling stations, who were given training today on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the nodal officer will physically verify the basic facilities available at the current polling stations from 21 to 31 August. He said that the draft list of polling stations will be published on 2 September. After the draft publication, the general public can submit their suggestions on the draft list of polling stations till 8 September. Apart from this, the final proposals will be prepared after discussing the suggestions received from the representatives of political parties till 19 September.
The Deputy Commissioner has appealed to all the aware citizens and political parties of the district that they can submit their suggestions regarding amendment or rationalization of polling stations before the District Election Officer and the concerned Electoral Registration Officer till 8th September.
