"PLW achieves 22 percent higher production value in four months"

Patiala, August 17 – Patiala Locomotive Works (PLW), a unit of Indian Railways, celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great fervor and patriotism. The function started with the unfurling of the national flag by Principal Chief Administrative Officer Pramod Kumar who took salute from a contingent of Railway Protection Force (RPF) in the presence of PLW officials and staff.

The function started with the unfurling of the national flag by Principal Chief Administrative Officer Pramod Kumar who took salute from a contingent of Railway Protection Force (RPF) in the presence of PLW officials and staff.
Addressing the gathering, Pramod Kumar said that PLW has successfully manufactured 10 WAP-7 and 16 WAG9HC locomotives with 2 DETCs during the period from April 2024 to July 2024. He further said that PLW has achieved a production value of Rs 2,912 crore. This growth is 22% higher than the previous four-month period. Staff council and members of various associations also participated in the function. Sweets were distributed to the RPF staff as a goodwill gesture.
In his concluding remarks, Pramod Kumar emphasized the importance of maintaining national unity and integrity. He appealed to all the people present to perform their duties with sincerity and diligence while contributing to the continued success of Indian Railways.
