Nawanshahr - Independence Day was celebrated at Babbar Karam Singh Memorial Trust/School Daulatpur. On this occasion, the chief guest, Dr. Harbhajan Singh, the nominated founder principal of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College Banga, who renamed district Nawanshahr as Shaheed Bhagat Singh, hoisted the tricolor flag. The students of the school sang songs of the brave warriors who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country and patriotic songs.
In the end, the chief guest Dr. Harbhajan Singh encouraged the children to become good human beings by taking guidance from the lives of the Babbar martyrs. He also asked to plant as many trees as possible to keep the air, water and earth clean. During this ceremony, Green Beauty Day was celebrated by planting trees in the school premises today.
On this occasion, Vice President of the Trust Taranjit Singh Thandi, Director Kirpal Singh Khabra, Principal Madam Raj Rani ji thanked the guests by presenting them a memento and a plant. The entire school staff and children were also present with them.
