
DBU students created awareness against drugs under a special campaign
Mandi Gobindgarh, August 14 - Faculty of Nursing of Desh Bhagat University organized Drug Free India Abhiyan on the theme “Say No to Drugs” at Government School, Amloh and in the surrounding areas of the University. Drug Free India campaign was organized by MSc Nursing 2nd Year and BSc Nursing III Semester students to create awareness among school students about the adverse effects, causes, and symptoms of drug abuse and about measures to prevent it.

DBU Chancellor Dr Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr Tajinder Kaur encouraged students to participate in role-playing exercises that highlighted the importance of choosing a healthy lifestyle. Iqbal Singh Principal Government School Amloh made the students think about the seriousness of increasing drug addiction by giving his inspiring speech on the subject. Dr Lavasampuranjot Kaur, Principal, Faculty of Nursing said that these initiatives help students to express their understanding about the dangers of drug abuse and make them aware of the leprosy of drugs in the society.
