Nawanshahr - Senior Citizens Association Nawanshahr under the patronage of Chairman Dr. JD Verma with the support of Blood Donors Council Nawanshahr organized the first blood donation camp at Road Nawanshahr through BDC Blood Center. This camp was jointly inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr JS Sandhu, Managing Director of Sandhu Hospital Chandigarh Road Nawanshahr and his father Professor GS Sandhu.
Dr. Sandhu said that of course, senior citizens cannot donate blood due to their age, but they are making a valuable contribution to the society and helping the needy patients by organizing this blood donation camp. Giving information, President SK Bruta said that this blood donation camp was organized due to the inspiration of General Secretary SK Puri. Who for a long time wanted that a blood donation camp should be organized by the association.
 Eminent social worker Tarsem Lal Khepar, Kishore Vij from Vidyarthi Immigration, Varinder Kumar from Lotus Overseas Immigration and Nitin Puri participated as special honored guests in this camp. DAV Senior Secondary School Musapur Road Nawanshahr Principal RK Verma also specially participated in this camp. Chairman Dr. JD Verma in his welcome speech said that the chief guest Dr. JS Sandhu (Psychiatrist) who is very expert in his work has a very sociable nature. They have spared their valuable time and joined this camp. Honorable guest Nitin Puri, who has been donating blood for a long time, also contributed to this great donation by donating blood.
Social worker Tarsem Lal Khepar made his valuable contribution in social service by donating one lakh rupees to the association. Dr. Ajay Baga of BDC and social worker Tarsem Lal Khepar highly appreciated this social welfare work done by the association. General Secretary SK Puri said that 56 units of blood were collected in this camp today. He said that there was great enthusiasm among the blood donors for donating blood. Chairman Dr JD Verma thanked all the guests who came to the camp, blood donors and all the members for supporting this camp.
