
The Guru Nanak Mission Service Society received an international award for its outstanding services
Nawanshahr - By the grace of Akal Purakh, Guru Nanak Mission Seva Society was awarded the first International Surjit Kaur Memorial Award by Pukar Foundation and International Punjabi Foundation (Canada) dedicated to the memory of Sardarni Surjit Kaur Banwait.
Nawanshahr - By the grace of Akal Purakh, Guru Nanak Mission Seva Society was awarded the first International Surjit Kaur Memorial Award by Pukar Foundation and International Punjabi Foundation (Canada) dedicated to the memory of Sardarni Surjit Kaur Banwait. Giving this information, Surjit Singh, the chief servant of the society, said that during a very impressive function organized by Pukar Foundation at Saini Bhawan, Chandigarh, the society members were awarded with this honor. The foundation selected 10 individuals/organizations who are providing best services in the field of social service from across the country which included selected social workers from Punjab, Mumbai and other states. He expressed special thanks to the Pukar Foundation and especially to Guru Nanak Mission Seva Society, Mr. Gurcharan Singh Banwait, for being selected for this honour. He further said that while the society members are feeling proud by receiving this honour, they have also realized their increasing responsibilities towards social service. In the end, he thanked from the bottom of his heart for the love and valuable support given to the society by all the residents of the area.
