SAS Nagar, July 27 – The 62nd Foundation Day of Bharat Vikas Parishad was celebrated at Sri Sanatan Dharma Mandir Phase 4 Mohali in collaboration with Bharat Vikas Parishad Mohali branches. Ashok Pawar, president of Mohali branch of the organization, said that Dr. IC Syal participated as the chief guest on this occasion. While and Mr. Ashok Kumar Jain and Mr. Des Raj Gupta, President of Mr. Sanatan Dharma Mandir Phase 4 attended as special guests. Mr. Som Nath Sharma, Mr. DPS Chhabra, Mr. Jeet Gogia, Mr. Barkha Ram, Mr. Upesh Kumar and Mr. MP Arora specially attended the function.
On this occasion, Mr. Satish Vij welcomed the guests and Mr. Ashok Pawar presented the report of the works being conducted by the Mohali branches. District convener Mr. Sudhir Gulati gave detailed information about the council.
On this occasion, various items were presented by the members of the organization and students of different schools. Dr. Sunil Pathak for providing free medical service by the organization, Shiv Kumar for meritorious service, veteran player Ms. Surinder Kaur, Ms. Shudha Jain for her work in academic and literature field and senior council members Mr. Manjit Singh Bhalla, Mr. VK Singal, Mr. Rajan Moonjal and Mr. Daulat Ram Kamboj were felicitated by presenting mementos and shawls. Along with this, the students/students of 13 schools of Mohali city and 4 schools of adjoining villages were awarded with badges, a book 'Know India' and certificates for topping their respective schools in the tenth class examination.
