Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh honored the family of late Surjit Patar

Mandi Gobindgarh/Chandigarh, July 23 - Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University Dr. Zora Singh and 150 students and teachers of the university paid tribute to the late Punjab poet "Padma Shri" Surjit Patar and honored his family members. Banwari Lal Purohit, Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, was the chief guest of the function organized by Sapt Sindhu Institute in collaboration with Punjab University, Chandigarh.

Banwari Lal Purohit, Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, was the chief guest of the function organized by Sapt Sindhu Institute in collaboration with Punjab University, Chandigarh.
On this occasion, the Governor of Punjab, Mr. Banwari Purohit, praised the late Surjit Patar's poetic life and paid tribute to him and said that his name will always be immortal. Surjit Patar's wife Bhupinder Kaur Patar, brother Upkar Patar, son Manraj Patar were honored by Sapt Sindhu. On this occasion, Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University Dr. Zora Singh honored the family members of Surjit Patar and said that he was a great poet of the century. He invited the Patar family to come to Desh Bhagat University and said that Dr. Patar had a close relationship with the university. Dr. Zora Singh advised the present young generation to take inspiration from his valuable works. 150 students and teachers of Dental and Ayurvedic departments of Desh Bhagat University attended the function and paid tribute to Surjit Patar. On this occasion, Panjab University Vice Chancellor Renu Vig, Amarjit Grewal, Varinder Garg, Jaswant Zafar, Swaranjit Swee and Varinder Negi appreciated the works of Surjit Patar and shared the moments spent with him.
