Prof. Shruti Bedi, the esteemed director of UILS, delivered an opening speech on “Career in Law,” highlighting the numerous opportunities available to law graduates.
In the morning session, Prof. Chanchal Narang discussed the “Importance of Language for Legal Profession,” emphasizing the role of language and communication skills in law. Following this, Prof. Sarabjit Kaur provided insights on “Transition from School to University,” offering advice on adapting to university life.
Prof. Meenu Sahajpal shared valuable insights into India’s history and culture in a talk titled “India: The Story and the Reality.” In the afternoon, Dr. Sunil Panghal presented an overview of “STD,” covering its basics and significance in the legal context. Prof. Harsh Gandhar then explored the “Relevance of Economics Discipline for Law Students,” highlighting the intersection of economics and law.
After a short break, Prof. Jai Mala Narotra discussed “Social Media and Legal Education,” examining its impact on legal studies. The session concluded with Prof. Karan Jawanda speaking on the “Importance and Role of Legal Aid Clinics in Law Schools,” emphasizing practical legal training.
Students actively participated in the Q&A round, and faculty members provided valuable guidance, setting a positive tone for the academic year 2024-25.
