Patiala, July 22 - Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board Chairman Dr. SS Ahluwalia today held a review meeting with the officials regarding the 24 hours canal water supply project and small river and big river beautification projects being run under Patiala Constituency. They reviewed the physical progress of the ongoing projects. Dr. Ahluwalia said that 74 per cent of the 24-hour canal water supply project and 75 per cent of the beautification of small river and big river have been completed. He also directed the officials to complete these projects by March 2025. Dr. Ahluwalia sought information from the officials of the department about pending water pipeline in Patiala city. Meanwhile, he also reviewed the digging of roads while laying pipelines. On this occasion, he directed the tile road repairing company L&T to complete the pending work in 4 weeks.
 Dr. Ahluwalia, while reviewing the project of small river and big river, directed the officials of Pudda, Sewerage Board and Drainage Department to speed up the work of the project. They also instructed to take action as soon as possible with the district administration regarding the dung being dumped by the unauthorized dairies in the big river. He issued instructions to connect Mathura Colony and Mahindra Colony with the newly constructed 26 MLD STP in Sunny Enclave to overcome the sewage overflow problem. He also issued orders to the municipal corporation officials to clean the drains of the city immediately so that the people do not have to face difficulties during the rainy season. Dr. Ahluwalia said that he will soon hold a meeting with the officials regarding these projects. In the meeting, representatives of Punjab Health Minister and MLA Constituency Rural, Patiala Dr. Balbir Singh, MLA Constituency Urban Patiala Ajit Pal Singh Kohli, Municipal Corporation Patiala Commissioner Aditya Duchalwal, Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board Senior Vice Chairman Dharamjit Romyana, Vice Chairman Subhash Sharman, Director Sevakpal Singh, Chief Engineer Rajwant Kaur, SE GP Singh, SE Harkaran Singh, Axion Vikas Dhawan, Patiala Development Authority and L&T Company officials were present.
