Hoshiarpur - The working president of Shiv Sena Punjab, Ranjit Rana, while issuing a press note, said that the stray dogs of the street mohalla of Hoshiarpur city have now become man-eaters. Four days ago, an elderly man, a resident of the area, was seriously injured. He was admitted to the civil hospital in a critical condition. For the last one and a half months, these stray stray dogs have killed Gurcharan Singh resident of Salwara, Sanjeev Kumar resident of Prahlad Nagar, Satpal Bhatia shopkeeper Sheetla Mandir, Davinder Kumar resident of Committee Bazar, Shyam. Sunder residents of Mashkian Mohalla and many others have been seriously injured. But the municipal corporation and the new Punjab government have not paid attention to the incidents of dogs going out of control. Regarding stray dogs and the Hon'ble Punjab Chandigarh High Court has also ordered the Governments to pay Rs 10,000 in case of dog bite and Rs 20,000 in case the wound is more than 2 cm deep. But the Punjab Government and the Municipal Corporation are not doing this till now and neither the orders of the High Court have been followed, neither the dogs who are becoming man-eaters have been caught, nor have they been sterilized, nor have the injured people been cared for. No compensation has been paid. People are afraid to send their children and elders out of the house. People said that groups of these stray dogs are encroaching on the roads and attacking passers-by. There is no part of Hoshiarpur that has not been occupied by these stray dogs. On this occasion, Ranjit Rana said that there is a fear among the people that if the Municipal Corporation does not control these stray dogs that are becoming man-eaters. So the people of the area will be forced to tie their dogs in the municipal office.
