Hoshiarpur - During the visit of the central team to Hoshiarpur under the Jal Shakti Campaign, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, Director MOPS W (Government of India), Central Nodal Officer Vinay Kumar Prajapati and Technical Officer (Central Ground Water Department) Vidya Nand Negi in different areas of the district. Departments informed about the works conducted under Jal Shakti campaign.
Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Gurpreet Singh Gill along with the officials of the departments associated with the Jal Shakti campaign led the Central Jal Shakti team to visit the structures built under the campaign. STP (30 MLD) Hoshiarpur, Lift Irrigation Project Village Bassi Hast Khan Hoshiarpur, Micro Irrigation on Flower Culture Village Chauhal, Shared Water Tank Village Janodi, Narur and Baruhi Block Bhunga, Shared Water Tank Village Koi Block Dasuha, R.C. .C Pond with Micro Irrigation Village Mahindwani and Stone Masonry Water Recharging Structure Village Jhonowal Block Garhshankar etc. projects were visited. In these villages, the Jal Shakti team shared their views with the villagers regarding water conservation. Appreciated the information about the benefits of these water conservation structures and the water conservation works done under the campaign.
