
World No Tobacco Day celebrated
SAS Nagar, May 28 - The 28th annual World No Tobacco Day was celebrated by Generation Saver Association in association with Vital Strategy at GGDSD College, Sector 32, Chandigarh. On this occasion, Director of Health and Family Welfare Department of Punjab Dr. Hitinder Kaur attended as the chief guest. State Nodal Officer Dr. Jaskiran Deep Kaur and Program Officer Dr. Gurman, Dr. Rita Kotwal State Nodal Officer Tobacco Control also specially participated with them. On this occasion, awards were given to the winning students in the painting competition related to World Tobacco Day on 3rd May.

Speaking on this occasion, Upinder Preet Kaur Gill, Program Director of Generation Savior Institute, explained about the harm caused by tobacco and how to avoid it and encouraged everyone to take a pledge to stay away from this drug.
On this occasion, Suchetak Rang Manch played the anti-tobacco drama Ghar Vathi, in which it is explained how drug destroys the home and health. Anita Shabdish, head of the forum, said that they will always stand with the anti-tobacco movement and this movement will never stop. The annual magazine of the organization was also released on this occasion.
In the end, Surjeet Kaur, Vice President of the organization, thanked the guests. On this occasion, Generation Savior Association President Amarjit Singh, Member Vipan Bajaj, SD College Alumni Association President Rajeev Mehan, Vice President Manmohan Singh Banga and the entire team of GSA were present.
