
Late Swadesh Chopra's contribution in the field of social service was commendable: Mukesh Agnihotri
Una, 7 July:- Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that late Swadesh Chopra has made a commendable contribution in the field of social service. The Deputy Chief Minister was speaking on the occasion of the inauguration of the medical camp organized by Punjab Kesari Group at District Ayurvedic Hospital Una on Sunday on the 9th death anniversary of late Swadesh Chopra, director of Punjab Kesari Group and renowned social worker.
Una, 7 July:- Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that late Swadesh Chopra has made a commendable contribution in the field of social service. The Deputy Chief Minister was speaking on the occasion of the inauguration of the medical camp organized by Punjab Kesari Group at District Ayurvedic Hospital Una on Sunday on the 9th death anniversary of late Swadesh Chopra, director of Punjab Kesari Group and renowned social worker.
He said that the Punjab Kesari newspaper group has done a great job in the field of unity, brotherhood and social service in the country. He said that the Punjab Kesari family has sacrificed its life from time to time to maintain the unity and integrity of the country. They have also been continuously supporting the families affected by terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that by organizing the medical camp, people will get the facility of health check-up under one roof and hence people will benefit from this facility.
Earlier, after lighting the lamp, the Deputy Chief Minister paid tribute to late Smt. Swadesh Chopra ji by offering floral tributes.
Health check-up of about 454 patients was done in the medical camp.
In this medical camp, social service organization Himotkarsh, Literature Culture and Public Welfare Council, Guru Ka Langar Seva Samiti Trust, Devbhoomi Foundation, Rotary Club Greater Una, Innerwheel Club Una, Yogdan Ek Pahal Sanstha, Janhit Morcha Una, Yuva Seva Club and Press Club Una also extended their support.
During this period, fruit and medicinal plants were also distributed.
DC Jatin Lal, SP Rakesh Singh, CMO Dr. S.K. Verma, MS Dr. Sanjay Mankotia, Guru Nanak Dev Ji's descendant Baba Amarjot Singh Bedi, Punjab Kesari Group's district in-charge Surendra Sharma were also present in this camp.

Renowned spine surgeon and ortho specialist Dr. Raj Bahadur also specially attended the medical camp and kept examining patients till late evening. On this occasion, Una's senior orthopedic specialist Dr. Shivpal Kanwar also checked the patients along with him. Whereas, under the leadership of CMO Dr. S.K. Verma and MS Dr. Sanjay Mankotia, Dr. Rahul Kaundal (MD Medicine), Dr. Umesh Kumar (ENT Surgeon), Dr. Vibham Gulati (Eye Specialist), Dr. Swinky Jain (Gynecologist), Dr. Ashna Sharma (Child Specialist), Dr. Rahul Rai (Surgeon), Dr. Divyansh Sharma (Orthopedic Specialist), Dr. Kapil Bharwal (Dentist), Neeraj (Pharmacy Officer), Sunil Kumar (Lab Technician), Mahashiv (Lab Attendant) provided their services. The entire medical team examined the health of the patients who came to this camp and medicines were also distributed to them.
