
District Una is the best in the country in implementing the joint action plan “A war against drugs”
Una, July 4- District Una has been rated as the best in the entire country in the implementation of the joint action plan of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) “A War Against Drugs” . District Una has been awarded for this achievement on June 30 at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.

District Una has been awarded for this achievement on June 30 at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi. Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal received this award from the hands of Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai.
Giving information in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Una, Jatin Lal said that District Una was awarded for being first in the country in the implementation of the joint action plan against drug abuse. He said that the district received extensive support from various departments in the district in getting this award. Various departments have given their commendable contribution in implementing the drug-free Una campaign against drug abuse. He said that the drug-free Una campaign was implemented in the district as a pilot project, which has shown positive results.
He said that under the Nasha Mukt Una Abhiyan, to make children and youth aware against drug abuse, various programs related to skills and life development were organized at school and college level where 26 thousand students were connected and about 247 teachers and school heads were also trained. He said that the main objective of this program was to strengthen the emotional and mental health of the students and to keep them away from negative thoughts so that they stay away from drugs. Along with this, Har Ghar Dastak Abhiyan was also conducted through which awareness was raised against drug abuse in one lakh houses and people were made aware about the ill effects of drugs. Apart from this, people were also made aware through social media.
While the Deputy Commissioner thanked the people of the district for joining the campaign for drug-free Una, he also hoped that in the future too, they would cooperate in making the district drug-free by joining such campaigns of the district administration
