Hoshiarpur - Mayor Municipal Corporation Hoshiarpur Surinder Kumar said that the Municipal Corporation has been receiving complaints regarding sewage blockages and overflows from time to time in different areas under the city, which have also been rectified from time to time
He said that it is the responsibility of the municipal corporation in the public interest to restore the continuous flow of water by immediately opening the blocked sewage. He said that the sewerage of Kirti Nagar had been stopped on the previous day, and after many days of difficulty, the teams of the municipal corporation tried to open the sewage with whatever machinery was available near the office. In the end, this sewage was opened by ordering a super suction machine from Jalandhar Municipal Corporation.
The Mayor said that it is very unfortunate that a large amount of quilts, mattresses, pillows and plastic envelopes have come out of the sewage, which is a very serious matter. He appealed to the residents of the city and the Mohallas and said that to get rid of the problem of sewage blockage, no clothes or solid objects should be thrown in the sewage and the throwing of plastic envelopes in the sewage should be stopped completely.
