Patiala, June 28 - Member of the Shiromani Akali Dal's Political Affairs Committee Sukhwinderpal Singh Minta has said that Professor Prem Singh Chandumajra and Surjit Singh Rakhra have been working to sink the party in Patiala for the last 30 years and have only served their personal interests.
Addressing a press conference at the Patiala Media Club here, Sukhwinderpal Singh Minta said that Professor Chandumajra and Surjit Rakhra have done as they please while being in the party and have always kept small workers and leaders in the role and have made their politics shine by giving them expenses. He said that because of these two leaders, the Shiromani Akali Dal has been losing the Patiala Lok Sabha seat for the last 30 years and the same has happened this time too.
He said that the closeness of the Chandumajra and Rakhra families and the Dhindsa family to the BJP is not hidden from anyone. This time too, these people have got votes cast for the BJP, due to which the vote share of the BJP has increased in Punjab. He said that everyone has seen the pictures of the three Rakhra brothers meeting Amit Shah. He said that Rakhra has expelled many leaders like Harpal Juneja, Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra, Ravinder Singh Johnny Kohli, Ajitpal Singh Kohli from the party.
On this occasion, he also distributed laddus in happiness on getting rid of Chandumajra and Rakhra.
