
People should be encouraged to have family planning to bring stability in population - Dr. Anita Kataria
Hoshiarpur - As per the instructions of Health Department Punjab and Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Balwinder Kumar ji, a meeting regarding World Population Day campaign was organized with the cooperation of District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Anita Kataria, Deputy Mass Media Officer Dr. Tripta Devi and Deputy Mass Media Officer Ramandeep Kaur.
Hoshiarpur - As per the instructions of Health Department Punjab and Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Balwinder Kumar ji, a meeting regarding World Population Day campaign was organized with the cooperation of District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Anita Kataria, Deputy Mass Media Officer Dr. Tripta Devi and Deputy Mass Media Officer Ramandeep Kaur.
In which BCC Coordinator Amandeep Singh and all BEEs from various blocks participated. During the meeting, activities related to World Population Day campaign were discussed. Addressing the meeting, Dr. Anita Kataria said that explosive population growth is a serious issue today, which gives rise to many other problems. Keeping these things in mind, people are encouraged for family planning to stabilize the population. She asked the BEE to instruct all the field staff during this awareness campaign to encourage and motivate more and more people to adopt raw and solid means of family planning to differentiate between children.
Deputy Mass Media Officer Dr. Tripta Devi said that during the community awareness fortnight being celebrated from 27 June to 10 July, activities should be carried out as per the plan made in the first preparation phase. Saas Bahu meetings should be organized at the village level. Extensive awareness should be spread through social media and other means and eligible couples should be motivated to adopt various methods of family planning.
Deputy Mass Media Officer Ramandeep Kaur said that in the third phase, special camps will be organized in various health institutions from 11 July World Population Day to 24 July to adopt safe methods of family planning. She said that eligible couples should be advised family planning methods according to their need after age and physical examination.
