Nawanshahr - Pre-Departure Orientation Training (P DOT) centers are being opened by the Punjab government in every district of the state. In this regard today Mr. Yasuddeep Singh, Deputy Secretary-cum-Protector of Emigrants, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India visited the District Employment Bureau. They inspected the facilities and rooms installed for opening the P-dot center in the Bureau. And met Additional Deputy Commissioner (J) Rajeev Verma. The Deputy Secretary said that ECR passport holders in 19 Gulf countries need a clearance certificate issued by the Protector of Emigrants to go for employment.
 For issuance of certificate, the candidate is informed about the laws of the respective country, the services available by the Government of India for the expatriates in those countries. He said that on the basis of the inspection report, P DOT will be approved by the Ministry of External Affairs in the Central District Employment Bureau. After which the required certificate will be issued by the bureau to the ECR category passport holders after training. Additional Deputy Commissioner said that a workshop will be conducted for registered agents in the district In this regard, the Deputy Secretary was requested to participate so that appropriate information can be given to the youth of the district who are going abroad regarding employment. District Employment Resource Skill Development and Training Officer Sanjiv Kumar said that master trainers and assistant master trainers have been trained by the department for P DOT. The center will be started in the Bureau after approval from the Ministry of External Affairs.
