The Deputy Commissioner said that CM's Yogashala is an initiative of the Punjab government to provide free yoga education to the citizens of the state. Under this plan, a team of certified yoga teachers has been established in Punjab, so that yoga can be brought to the door-to-door and by providing yoga teachers to the public, it can be converted into a people's movement. It aims to highlight the importance of meditation and yoga in improving the physical and mental health of citizens. As an ancient practice, yoga has proven to be an effective means of improving one's quality of life. Through daily practice one can develop concentration and establish greater oneness with one's environment. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann, this scheme was started in the state in April last year, under which different districts of the state have been covered in different phases.
Madhvi Singh, district coordinator of CM's yogashala, said that under the leadership of state advisor Amresh Jha and Kamlesh Mishra, more and more people are being connected with yoga in all the blocks of the district.
